download .: install .: use

This is going to seem asinine, but whenever I log in to this site from my home computer using a dial-up connection, after I log in, the site shows that I'm logged in ("Welcome Mr. mrbiotech"), but displays warnings if I try to comment on or rate other's works. It also won't let me enter messages in the message board. This doesn't happen when I use my work computer.

I'm sure it's probably just a local setting on my Windows2000Pro home setup, but I can't seem to discover which.

Any suggestions?

Gotta be a cookie problem....most of the World's ills are down to cookies...

Now, I'll try to dig up that cookie-deleting script that works so well...

This 'should' fix it...

You might try logging out, deleting your WC cookies (there are two of them, I think), clearing your cache and then log into the site again. Some site access problems can be "cured" that way, in my experience.

Doh!!! Still doesn't seem to work from home, although that cookie-killer app is a wonderful thing, Jafo! I've checked the internet settings on the computer to make sure that cookies were fully enabled, thinking that would permit me access to entering messages, but still not working. It's really strange! I've emptied out the temporary internet files folders, and erased any cookies encountered and retried logging in.

When I log back in, everything looks like it should (my selected wincustomize theme comes up, and it still says "Welcome Mr. mrbiotech"), but entering a message brings me to a warning screen (You've attempted to enter a members-only area...). When I log back in and select "go back to the last screen" it brings me right back to the warning. I'll try twiddling with the internet settings some more and see if my recent upgrade to Win2000 altered anything.

Thank you for your help, guys!
